Sometimes help doesn't reach places where it is most needed, even though there are enough people willing to give it. How can we make helping others easier?
Together with the Federation of Polish Food Banks and the University of Warsaw we have developed a digital application that allows for the coordination and reporting of food collections in food banks throughout Poland. The same application also allows for managing volunteers offering their help. The system registers user-volunteers and, depending on the needs of a particular institution, records the desired criteria, qualifications, areas of activity and availability. At the same time, it enables the organisers of voluntary actions to efficiently search for and recruit people willing to help.
Months of research, UX work and graphic design resulted in ready-made components that can be used freely by organisations looking for volunteers.
